<p>An elevator comprising a cage (12) and a counter weight (11) suspended through a pulley (13) provided at an upper part of an elevator shaft, batteries (111, 121) provided in the cage (12) and/or the counter weight (11), means for supplying power to the batteries (111, 121) when the cage (12) stops at a specified floor, means for setting power supply conditions, and means for moving the cage (12) to the specified floor when the conditions are satisfied. The batteries (111, 121) mounted on the counter weight (11) or the cage (12) can thereby be supplied with power, as required.</p> |
