The proximity value calculation method has the sum (QA) of the quadratic distances between the two points in each direction of the orthogonal reference system multiplied with a given factor, for obtaining a product used as the input value for a characteristic field stored in a memory, for read-out of a Euclidic distance (EA') extended by a second factor, divided by the latter for providing the Euclidic distance.
