A cone plate type blood or the like compatibility evaluation device comprising a bottom plate (1) for fixing a test material (2), a cone (16) made of transparent material and rotating while contacting blood or the like fed onto the test material, a cone holder (13) having the cone internally fixed therein and equipped with a rotation drive section (14) on the outer periphery, a driving device (8) rotating the cone holder through the rotation drive section, and a vertical illumination type fluorescence microscope (20) for examining the blood or the like on the test material from above the cone, wherein the test material is fixed on the bottom plate by a ring member, and the objective lens of the microscope is disposed above the transparent cone. Therefore, a highly versatile evaluation device capable of quantitative evaluation can be provided that allows real-time observation of the mutual action of blood cell components on not only a plate-like material but also almost all other shapes of material such as a membrane, sponge and filter, or on opaque materials, under the presence of shearing stresses.
