PURPOSE: A composition for promoting growth hormone secretion capable of remarkably increasing the concentration of IGF-1 in blood is provided. Therefore, the composition has an effect on promoting growth hormone secretion for inhibiting aging phenomena, in particular, it can treat and prevent dwarfism when administered to young boys and girls in a growth period. CONSTITUTION: The composition contains 15 to 20% by weight of L-glutamine, 5 to 10% by weight of L-lysine, 10 to 15% by weight of L-arginine, 5 to 10% by weight of L-ornithine, 1 to 5% by weight of L-tryptophan, 5 to 10% by weight of L-tyrosine, 5 to 10% by weight of glycine, 7 to 12% by weight of a dried Pteridium aquilinum var. latiusculum product, 12 to 17% by weight of a dried bamboo product and 9 to 13% by weight of a dried garlic product.
