PURPOSE: To provide a writing utensil capable of simply eliminating the clogging with the pigment of ink and capable of immediately restoring the original easiness to write. CONSTITUTION: In the writing utensil constituted so that an ink sump 7 and an ink supply passage 9 are formed in a writing utensil main body having a pen point attached to the leading end thereof and the ink of the ink sump 7 is supplied to the pen point through the ink supply passage 9, the wire 17 arranged in the ink supply passage 9 in a freely movable manner is supported in a freely movable manner by a coil spring 6 and a ball 18 impinges against the coil spring 16 when the writing utensil main body is moved to apply movement to the coil spring 6.
