PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an MRI(magnetic resonance imaging) apparatus capable of obtaining DWI(diffusion weighted imaging) suppressed in fat signal. SOLUTION: A sequencer 6 controls a transmission system 3, an inclined magnetic field generation system 2 and a receiving system 4 in a pulse sequence consisting of a signal measuring part performing the excitation of a spin in order to measure a signal and a reversal part preliminarily using a reversal pulse before the excitation of the spin is performed in order to measure the signal, to measure the signal while conrolling the time width of the reversal part using timing wherein the signal originating from fat is sufficiently low.
