PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spermary-specific insulin homologous polypeptide, to provide a polynucleotide encoding the above polypeptide, and to provide a related composition and method. SOLUTION: The above-mentioned polypeptide and polynucleotide are usable in respective methods for raising the survival rate of cryogenically preserved sperm, for raising the motility of such sperm, and for raising the fertilization in assisted reproductive methods, as contraceptives, and in other related applications. |
