PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the filter web-wrinkling device of a filter production machine, which uses a pair of crape rollers to form a web into a wrinkled crape web, can prevent the biting of the crape web or its small pieces between crape rollers due to the abnormality of the wrinkling process, and can surely prevent the damages of the crape rollers. SOLUTION: This filter web-wrinkling device of the filter production machine comprises a pair of crape rollers 14 comprising comb tooth rollers, upper limit and lower limit sensors 52, 54 for indirectly detecting the abnormality of the wrinkling process of the crape web CW on the basis of the extent of the looseness of the crape web CW, and a pair of clogging detection sensors 56, 58 for directly detecting the abnormality of the wrinkling process on the basis of the presence or absence of the web small pieces left in the tooth grooves of the crape rollers. When the sensors 52, 54, 56, 58 detect the abnormality of the wrinkling process, separation signals for separating a pair of the crape rollers 14 from each other are outputted, respectively.
