PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively utilize bed logs used in mushroom cultivation, shorten the period from aging of the inoculated mushroom bed body to the harvesting of mushrooms, increase the mushroom yield and further carry out hygienic cultivation of the mushrooms. SOLUTION: This method for cultivating mushroom beds comprises crushing bed logs used in bed log mushroom cultivation, forming sawdust, mixing a nutrient source for the mushrooms and water with the resultant sawdust, providing a mushroom bed material, carrying out sterilizing treatment of the mushroom bed material, then inoculating mushroom fungi into the sterilized bed material, housing the inoculated material in a semihermetically sealed state in each container, affording an inoculated mushroom bed body 10a filled in the container, carrying in a plurality of the inoculated mushroom bed bodies 10a in a cover body 11 having environmental machines 14, 15 and 16, aging the inoculated mushroom bed bodies 10a under the specific environment with the environmental machines 14, 15 and 16, then opening the container of the inoculated mushroom bed bodies 10a filled in each container, subsequently sprinkling water on the inoculated mushroom bed bodies 10a, making the mushrooms come out and grow the mushrooms, collecting the mushrooms and practicing the treatment after sprinkling of water so as to repeat the treatment several times.
