PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sprocket allowing smooth and reliable chain shift operation from one sprocket to the other sprocket even under bad conditions such as mud and dust. SOLUTION: This sprocket is provided with a sprocket body having a center part, a first face and a rim provided at the outer peripheral edge; and a plurality of tooth-like protrusions disposed at the rim of the sprocket body. The first face of the sprocket body is provided with chamfer parts between the tooth-like protrusions. The chamfer parts extend along a direction toward the center part from the rim of the sprocket body.
