PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thin plate punch press in which a die holder is easily positioned with high accuracy and which performs pressing with high accuracy. SOLUTION: This punch press 1 comprises, in a highly rigid cubic space, a die holder 103 which can be freely drawn forward, a punch holder fixed to a bridge structure, a striker supporting frame 59 capable of being freely positioned in the XY plane so as to select a desired punch P and slidable in the horizontal direction on the whole, and a clamping device 232 having a clamp arm 233 which is provided with a vertically movable ram 37 and freely advanced/retracted to/from a space between the punch holder 47 and the die holder 103 and holds both ends facing each other of a work W. This punch press is suitable for pressing thin plates with high accuracy, and does not impair excellent property in changing dies. |
