PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a bicyclic triazolone derivative having excellent selectively herbicidal activity. SOLUTION: The bicyclic triazolone derivative is represented by the general formula: J-Ar (wherein, J is a group of formula: J-1, J-2, J-3, J-4, J-5, J-6, J-7 or J-8; and Ar is a group of formula: Ar-1, Ar-2, Ar-3, Ar-4, Ar-5 or Ar-6). The herbicide comprises the bicyclic triazolone derivative.
