PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce apparent roughness of a medical tube and improve releasability between the tube and a mandrel, by passing the mandrel into water containing microparticles of silicone oil, drying, and covering a polymer thereon. SOLUTION: A mandrel 1 is passed by a roller 2 through water 4 containing microparticles of silicone oil in a treating tank 3 at first, then an excess amount of water containing microparticles of silicone oil is blown off by compressed air from an air blower 7, and then the water containing microparticles of silicone oil is wiped off by passing the mandrel between an upper and lower pair of cloth 8 to evaporate only water adhered on the mandrel by a heating blower 9 to obtain a mandrel coated by silicone oil. The concentration of silicone oil in the treating tank 3 is to be 0.0035-0.2 wt.%, preferably 0.0210-0.0525 wt.%. After that, the mandrel is covered by a polymer by an extrusion molding used in electric cord covering to obtain a medical tube. |
