PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for slicing a meat rod capable of holding the meat rod without damaging, slicing all of the meat rod so as to greatly improve a slicing yield. SOLUTION: The device for slicing a meat rod includes a cutting blade 2 for slicing the meat rod A, a rod holding means 1 for holding the meat rod A, and a rod feeding means 3 for moving the meat rod A held by the rod holding means 1 to the cutting blade 2. The rod holding means 1 includes a negative pressure source and a rod holder 6 connected to the negative pressure source and sucking the meat rod by negative pressure. The rod holder 6 further includes a holding chamber 7. A sucking surface 9 having a sucking hole 10 for sucking an end surface of the meat rod A of the holding chamber 7 is formed in a flat surface.
