ZEOLITE SEED CRYSTAL, AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING ZEOLITE MEMBRANE USING THE SEED CRYSTAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a fine particulate zeolite seed crystal having improved function as a crystallization nucleus on a support. SOLUTION: This zeolite seed crystal is obtained by roughening treatment of a fine particulate zeolite grown by crystallization and having an average particle size of 0.5μm or less. By attaching this zeolite seed crystal onto a support to synthesize a zeolite membrane, a zeolite membrane dense and free of notable defect is efficiently produced for high performance gas separation use or filtration use.
