PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reclining chair good in use convenience. SOLUTION: The reclining chair is provided with a connecting means 2 having a switching means 24. The switching means is designed to switch into a interlocked status in which a backrest 12 and an ottoman 13 interlock mutually while the backrest 12 stays between a normal position R and the most leaned position S and into a fixed status in which the ottoman 13 is fixed at a protruded position while the interlocked status for the backrest 12 and the ottoman 13 is released as the backrest 12 stays between the normal position R and the most leaned position S.
