PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel PTFE artificial blood vessel having an improved design. SOLUTION: A foamed polytetrafluoroethylene article comprises a foamed PTFE (ePTFE) material and includes a novel fibril-node structure showing two or more separate pore size distributions. The pore size distribution of small pores showing a mosaic pore structure is present between large pores and effective as a blood contact surface. The foamed PTFE article serves as an extremely useful and effective artificial blood vessel.
