The double flywheel for damping vibrations between an engine and a vehicle transmission system comprises a first flywheel (110) mounted on an engine shaft and a second flywheel (120) mounted on an input component of the transmission system. These are connected by a Belleville washer (142), one end of which is mounted on a intermediate ring (132) attached to the first flywheel which carries a cam which cooperates with a counter-cam on the other flywheel.
