PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent flickers from occurring without increasing a frame frequency during displaying gradations by FRC(frame rate control) in a display device performing multi-line selection. SOLUTION: Flickers can be prevented from occurring by using a gradation control part 191 for shifting a gradation register for outputting gradation data by horizontal and vertical synchronous signals 193, 194 and a shift value holding RAM 201, and properly varying the value of the shift value holding RAM 201 by multiple frames necessary for the FRC by a microcomputer 202, dispersing thereby ON-OFF patterns in the same frame and between frames at random, and further halting flowing of a picture due to shift processing.
