COMPOSITE MAGNETO-OPTICAL HEAD

PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency of a head assembling operation by previously working an optical fiber bundle to the shape at which said bundle is wired in a composite magneto-optical head. CONSTITUTION:The optical fiber bundle is worked in the following manner in the case of joining optical fibers 14 of the optical fiber bundle to an optical member 13 to one body and wiring such body to the composite magneto-optical head. For example, the optical fiber bundle applied with an uncured low- refractive index resin is housed into a recess 31 of a mold 30 and is fixed by retaining the same with quartz 32. The resin is cured by projecting UV light thereon. The optical fiber bundle is solidified to the shape to be housed into the recess 31 in such a manner. The wiring of the optical fiber bundle as it is to the composite magneto-optical head is thereby enabled and the working efficiency is improved.
