PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a picture display medium which prevents defective display due to aggregation of particles enclosed between substrates of picture display medium. SOLUTION: A picture display part 10 is constituted in such a manner that a display side electrode 22, spacers 26a and a back side electrode 25 are successively formed between a transparent display substrate 20 which forms a picture display surface and a back surface 23. Further, transparent dielectric films 28 are respectively formed on the surfaces of the display side electrode 22 and the back side electrode 25. The spacers 26a stipulate the interval between the display substrate 20 and the back substrate 23, at the same time, unit cells 21a are demarcated and the unit cells 21a are made to be a rectangular form in which the corners are cut.
