PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce energy loss by operation of overvoltage absorption circuit for preventing break down of switch element in a charge circuit of flashing device. SOLUTION: The flashing device, wherein there is a main condenser storing electric charge for flashing and charged by the flyback system with power source voltage boosted by a oscillation transformer according to the operation of switch element 11 from on to off status, has the oscillation transformer and an overvoltage absorption circuit like snubber circuit etc., including voltage absorption condenser 5 connected parallel to the switch element. In this case, a selection circuit 6, 7, 8, 9 is equipped to operate the overvoltage absorption circuit when the switch element is under off status and the input voltage exceeds the predetermined value which is less than the resisting voltage of the switch element, and not to operate the overvoltage absorption circuit when the input voltage is under the resisting voltage. |
