<p>The invention relates to a method of setting the flow coefficient of a flow meter. An optimal approximation curve is expressed by a low-order function so that flow coefficients consisting of a number of data sets may fall within a predetermined error range. A precision apparatus for measuring flow coefficients is also provided. An optimal approximation curve is determined using n sets of data points (xi, Yi) adjacent to one another, and the number of sets is increased or decreased so that all the sets of data may fall within a predetermined error range (Er) with respect to the optimal approximation curve. This method facilitates automatic setting of a flow coefficient with efficiency and reproducibility by using a personal computer.</p> |
