PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable telephone set which regulates only communication with the outside such as an incoming call and a call even if the remaining quantity of the battery of the portable telephone set becomes less and can continuously perform an operation except for the above operation. SOLUTION: The remaining quantity detection parts of the portable telephone sets 10 and 11 detect the remaining quantity of the battery 109 and output detected remaining quantity to a control circuit 104. The control circuit 104 reads incoming call restriction information from a memory 112 when battery remaining quantity from the remaining quantity detection part 111 is not more than a setting value and transmits incoming call restriction information which is read to a service control station through an RF part 101 and an antenna 100. Then, the control circuit 104 reads a program stored in the memory 112 and sets the program for refusing a calling instruction inputted from a keyboard 103.
