PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a voltage controlled oscillator that can make a C/N characteristic constant even when a control voltage Vcont is changed. SOLUTION: In the voltage controlled oscillator where a resonance circuit is connected to an input section of a negative resistance generating circuit, a control voltage input circuit is connected to the resonance circuit, and varying a voltage applied to the control voltage input circuit controls the oscillating frequency, a bias variable circuit to vary a bias setting of a transistor(TR) being components of the negative resistance generating circuit is connected to the negative resistance generating circuit and a voltage applied to the control voltage input circuit controls the bias setting of the TR.
