PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for enhancing adhesive strength of a finish coating layer to the uppermost organic layer of organic electrostatic image forming member. SOLUTION: This method for producing electrostatic image forming member comprises a process of coating a substrate for image forming member with an organic layer, a process of treating the organic layer with corona effluent and a process of coating the organic layer with the finish coating layer. In a treatment system 10, dry air is introduced through an opening 1 of a conduit 2. A flow meter 3 is put in series between the opening 1 and a first vessel 4 and controls the throughput of dry air which passes through the conduit 2 toward the vessel 4. The vessel 4 stores a corona discharge device 5 and is connected to a second vessel 7 via an adjacent conduit 6. The second vessel 7 stores a photoreceptor 8 and a bent conduit 9. The corona discharge device 5 and the photoreceptor 8 are held in the separated vessels and only the photoreceptor 8 is certainly exposed by the effluent 11 of the corona discharge device 5.
