PURPOSE: A method for displaying an alter ego character according to a web site utilization state of an internet user is provided to grasp a utilization state of an internet user by analyzing characteristics of the user's visiting web site and varying the alter ego character for wholesome cyberspace. CONSTITUTION: A method for displaying an alter ego character according to a web site utilization state of an internet user comprises the steps of: sensing a connection state of an internet web site installed in a user's PC; displaying the alter ego character on the internet web site; supervising the user's visiting web site and storing a corresponding data; analyzing the stored data and classifying characteristics of the user's visiting site; changing the form of the alter ego character according to the classified characteristics and displaying the changed form on the screen.
