PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing an LCD is provided to reduce a luminance unevenness of a liquid crystal display device by reducing an orientation direction unevenness of an alignment layer after heating a liquid crystal cell. CONSTITUTION: A method comprises the steps of: coating a first and a second alignment layer on a first and a second substrates(S1); carrying out an orientation process after firing and drying the coated alignment layer(S2); printing a sealant on the two substrates and curing the sealant(S3); attaching the two substrates(S4); injecting liquid crystal between the two substrates at a vacuum atmosphere to form a liquid crystal cell(S5); putting the liquid crystal cell in an oven and heating the cell(S6); and carrying out a thermal quenching process(S7).
