<p>A support device (29) for a behind-the-ear hearing aid (10) that includes a first component (31) which performs the function of a moisture guard and a second component (38) which performs the function of a wing muffler. The first component (31) includes a sweat pad (30) and a first attachment mechanism (32). The first attachment mechanism (32) attaches the sweat pad (30) to the underside of the hearing aid (10). The second component (38) includes a muffler pad (40) and a second attachment mechanism (42). The second attachment mechanism (42) attaches the muffler pad (40) to a sound tube (14) of the hearing aid (10) the support device 29) and the sweat pad (30) are optimally made of foam. The first attachment mechanism (32) is optimally made of VELCRO®, but, other materials may be used. The second attachment mechanism (42) is optimally in the form of polyethylene sleeving or tubing.</p> |
