The invention relates to medicine, in particular to medical equipment for protecting and preventing human beings against detrimental natural and technical radiation. Said invention enhances the effectiveness of protective devices by improving response and stability characteristics of a compensating electromagnetic radiation source. The inventive device comprises a body and a plate arranged therein and provided with a compensating electromagnetic radiation source which is embodied in the form of a spiral made of a current-conducting material, two beamguides connected to the outputs of the spiral in such a way that a closed circuit is formed. Said plate is also provided with a memory unit whose data input buses are connected to the outputs of the spiral and a connector linked to the data input buses of the memory unit, thereby making it possible to put data in the memory thereof in order to specify protection properties. In addition, the inventive device comprises a dielectric carrier arranged on the plate and coated with a dielectric layer on the upper side thereof. The spiral embodied in the form of a double Archimedes spiral is arranged in the dielectric layer. The ranges of successively disposed half coils are arranged on various planes which are parallel with respect to the carrier. The lower side of the carrier can be made of silver by means of a metal spraying process, the plate being made of a dielectric.
