PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display and a driving method thereof are provided, which realizes a high quality of the liquid crystal display by improving a picture quality by minimizing a flicker phenomenon. CONSTITUTION: The liquid crystal display includes a liquid crystal panel(31), and a gate drive IC(33) applying a gate driving signal to the liquid crystal panel, and a source drive IC(35) applying a data signal to the liquid crystal panel. And a timing controller(37) outputs a control signal to control the gate drive IC and the source drive IC, and has an embedded memory part(37a) which stores data as much as a plurality of frames. The memory part stores data of the plurality of frames and then outputs data to the source drive IC in sequence when data of the next frame begins to be inputted.
