The invention concerns compositions in powder or granular form, soluble in small amounts of water and designed to dissolve completely and rapidly active principles, and in particular of phenanthridine compositions and their uses. Said compositions comprise in combination, in powder or granular form, 5.0 to 50 w/w % of at least a phenanthridine or one of its pharmaceutically acceptable salts, and 50 to 95 w/w % of at least a water-soluble cosolvent. The invention is useful for preventing and treating trypanosomiasis in animals, alone or combined with infections mediated by other parasites.
