<p>An apparatus for producing cereal cakes or the like by a process of heating and expanding, comprising: a rotatable heatable platten 102 defining a plurality of moulds 104, a plurality of displaceable moulding tools 106, 108 for communicating with the platten, wherein as the platten is rotated, successive moulds are heated and closed by the moulding tools to produce a continuous supply of cereal cakes. This invention provides for the continuous production of granular cereal crakers or cakes. It has the advantage of improved yield per unit time, and thus reduced cost per unit.</p> |
