PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packaging container which has a simple structure of a fitting part, brings about smooth operations for attaching/detaching a container body and a lid body, and reliably prevents leakage of soup and the like even when side dishes and the like are housed. SOLUTION: The packaging body is composed of the container body 2 and the lid body 22, and the container body 2 is provided with a flange part 8, which is extended from a storage recess 3, and a fitting protrusion 9 formed by making an inner wall 9a inclined at a peripheral edge of the flange part 8. The lid body 22 is provided with a flange part 28, which is extended from an overhang part 23, and a fitting recess 29 which is formed at a peripheral edge of the flange part 28 while corresponding substantially to the fitting protrusion 9 and has an inner wall 29a capable of being fitted into the inner wall 9a. The flange part 28 of the lid body 22 is inclined with respect to the flange part 8 of the container body 2. Consequently, pressing force generated by the inner wall 29a of the fitting recess 29 acts on the inner wall 9a of the fitting protrusion 9 in conjunction with fitting of the container body 2 into the lid body 22 so as to enable the tight fitting.
