摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately control a damping force by a shock absorber by suppressing the temperature rise of the hydraulic oil in the shock absorber. SOLUTION: A microcomputer 65 estimates a hydraulic oil temperature Te and judges an off-road traveling by a program processing, and controls the damping force of the shock absorber 10 according to the judged and estimated results. When the estimated temperature Te is less than a specified temperature or the off-road traveling is not judged, by using a sprung mass absolute acceleration detected by an acceleration sensor 61 and a sprung mass- unsprung mass relative speed detected by a stroke sensor 62, the opening of a variable restriction mechanism 50 is set to a target opening corresponding to a target number of steps determined according to the vertical motions of the sprung mass member and unsprung mass member. When the estimated temperature Te is equal to or higher than the specified temperature and the off-road traveling is judged, the target number of steps is changed to change the opening of the variable restriction mechanism 50 to a larger side.
