PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radiation-curable coating composition capable of forming a coating film exhibiting scratch resistance, chemical resistance and antiglare properties remarkably superior to those of conventional coatings of the same kind when used as a coating for surface protection and surface decoration of a substrate such as various kinds of plastics, glass, ceramics, metal and the like. SOLUTION: The radiation-curable coating composition comprises a radiation- curable resin containing 5-100 wt.% of a polyacrylate having three or more functionalities and, incorporated therewith, 0.1-20 wt.% of a hydrophobic precipitated silica as a main component of a filler, where the hydrophobic precipitated silica has a specific surface area, an average grain size and thermal analysis values, each specified. The radiation-curable coating composition is used for a coating for a polyethylene terephthalate film for a liquid crystal or a triacetate film for a liquid crystal.
