PURPOSE: A system for paying charge of a multimedia messaging service and a method for controlling the same are provided to pay an MMS(Multimedia Messaging Service) transmission charge transmitted to a mobile wireless terminal through an SMS(Short Message Service) ASP(Application Service Provider) service businessman as points accumulated in a financial institution or a specific portal site automatically. CONSTITUTION: The Internet(14) forms a data transmitting/receiving path. A client(10) is connected to the Internet(14) and transmits/receives data. A mobile communication exchanger(20) analyzes an MMS message being received through the Internet(14) and transmits the MMS to a corresponding mobile terminal. At least one FICS(Financial Agency Computing System)(12a-12n+1) has a client management database including member information of a financial transaction, transaction details, accumulated points, and point details information, is connected to the Internet(14), transmits the points and details information by responding to a receipt of a point requesting information, subtracts points of a corresponding member by responding to a receipt of a point payment information, and updates the point details information and point information. An MMS transmission point management server(16) has a database for storing remainder points and point management information stored in the client management database, is connected to the Internet(14), searches point information of the client(10), point management information, and point payment information by responding to a log-in process of the client(10), transmits the MMS message contents transmitted from the client(10) to the mobile communication exchanger(20) through the Internet(14), and transmits the point payment information to the FICS(12a-12n+1) in a paying date of the corresponding member.
