LASER-MARKABLE PLASTIC, ITS PREPARATION AND ITS USAGE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser-markable plastic exhibiting a high contrast to a base material not yet marked without excessive decrease in transparency thereof. SOLUTION: The plastic comprises a transparent or translucent plastic having incorporated therein a pearlescence pigment in combination with a laser-sensitive pigment which itself does not give a pearly luster at all.
