<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lightweight tubular body having high strength by forming a main body layer from a prepreg, which ire formed by impregnating carbon fibers with a thermosetting synthetic resin, by preventing molding failure. SOLUTION: The main body layer of the tubular body is formed by winding the sheetlike prepreg to heat the same under pressure, mainly reinforced by carbon fibers TS containing the thermosetting synthetic resin as a matrix arranged so as to be directed in the almost longitudinal direction therfeof, and contains the synthetic resin in an average amount of about 10-20 wt.%. The vicinity at the position of the end part where the sheetlike prepregs are superposed one upon another comprises a mixture of the carbon fibers and the thermosetting synthetic resin from which a resin sump is excluded.</p> |
