PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power steering system capable of varying a preset proportion of a target steering speed of a steering mechanism to the operating speed and having no fear of causing early fatigue of an operator. SOLUTION: This power steering system is provided with a traveling speed detecting means 1 for detecting the traveling speed of a vehicle, an operating speed detecting means 11 for detecting the operating speed which is the rotating speed of a steering handle, a control means for calculating the target steering speed which is the rotating speed as a target of a steering mechanism 14 according to the operating speed, and comparing the actual steering speed which is the actual rotating speed of the steering mechanism 14 with the target steering speed to calculate a deviation, and a driving means 15 for driving the steering mechanism 14 corresponding to the calculated deviation. The control means 2 is adapted to increase and decrease the preset ratio of the target steering speed to the operating speed corresponding to the traveling speed of the vehicle. |
