The pressure sensor has a sensor membrane of an elastomer material, acted on by the pressure medium on one side, while its opposite side is rigidly supported. The elastomer material of the pressure membrane contains uniformly dispersed electrically conductive particles, causing a variation in the electrical surface resistance corresponding to the compression of the membrane by the measured pressure, detected via measuring contacts, contacting relatively spaced measuring zones.
