PURPOSE: A plasma display panel is provided to improve luminance by using zigzag barrier ribs. CONSTITUTION: A plasma display panel comprises a lower plate(76), address electrodes(82x) and barrier ribs(74). The barrier ribs(74) are formed in parallel to the address electrodes(82x) on the lower plate(76). Phosphor is coated over the barrier ribs(74) and the lower plate(76). The barrier ribs(74) are formed as zigzag and surround a cell so that pixel cells are connected by narrow channels to facilitate gas exhaustion and gas injection. The narrow channels made a higher discharge starting voltage than wide channels so as to prevent cross-talk in direction of the barrier ribs(74). The zigzag barrier ribs(74) increase the coated area of the phosphor and reflectivity of the barrier ribs(74). |
