PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a support for a positive or negative type planographic printing plate high in the hydrophilicity of a hydrophilic layer, improved in antiscumming properties, capable of obtaining printed matter generating no scumming even under a severe printing condition and also excellent in dimensional stability, and an original plate for the planographic printing plate using the same. SOLUTION: The support for the planographic printing plate is constituted by providing a hydrophilic layer comprising a graft polymer on a plastic film of which the Young's modulus is 500 kg/mm2 or more. The original plate for the planographic printing plate is characterized in that an image forming layer is provided on the support. |
