<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for accurately checking PVA distribution status existing in a paper. SOLUTION: This is a method for checking PVA distribution status existing in a paper as a density level distribution, however, no specific treatment is needed when checking the surface of a paper wherein an iodine is added to its PVA. When checking the cross section of the paper, use a focused ion beam device for beam irradiation to prepare an optional paper cross-section without destroying its paper layer structure, irradiate an electron beam to the surface or cross section of the paper containing the an iodine-added PVA, observe a generated signal through a scanning microscope, and then use either a fluorescent X-ray analyzer or an electron probe microanalyzer to provide mapping of each element, respectively.</p> |
