PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably support thrust load acting on a turning scroll using a plurality of spherical bodies to stabilize the behavior of the turning scroll when performing compression operation. SOLUTION: For example, four thrust load support bodies 16 are provided by making them apart from each other in the peripheral direction between a thrust receiver 7 of a casing 1 and a rear surface of the turning scroll 12. Moreover, the thrust load support body 16 consists of a spherical body storage case 17 provided by fixing it to the thrust receiver 7 and three spherical bodies 18 provided in the spherical body storage case 17. When operation is performed, each spherical body 18 of the thrust load support body 16 rolls between the thrust receiver 7 and the rear surface of the turning scroll 12 by following the turn movement of the turning scroll 12 to support a thrust load acting on the turning scroll 12 by the spherical body 18.
