PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operative structure for a working machine intended to mitigate the feeling of fatigue given to an operator as a result of steering a traveling machine body or making a lift operation for a working unit, and ensuring such a delicate operation to be made easily. SOLUTION: This operative structure for a working machine has the following mechanism: a traveling machine body 2 is steered by a steering system 33 through making a changeover of the actuation mode of left and right crawler- type traveling units 1 and the lift mode of a working unit 3 linked to the traveling machine body 2 is put to changeover by the action of a lift unit 35 based on the back-and-forth swing operation of a control lever 15; wherein the traveling machine body 2 is steered by the steering system 33 through making a changeover of the actuation mode of the left and right crawler-type traveling units 1 based on the operation, in the transverse direction, of a finger-acting operative tool 70 equipped with the control lever 15, and the lift mode of the working unit 3 linked to the traveling machine body 2 is put to changeover by the action of the lift unit 35 also based on the operation, in the vertical direction, of the operative tool 70.
