PURPOSE: A method for guiding the change of a traffic lane is provided to make a driver change a lane safely by correctly informing the driver of the safety or danger. CONSTITUTION: A method for guiding the change of a traffic lane comprises the steps of measuring the distance between a vehicle and a following vehicle and the relative speed of the following vehicle(S1), calculating a collision time corresponding to the change of a traffic lane based on the distance and relative speed(S2), comparing the collision time with a predetermined traffic lane change time(S3,S5), and issuing an alarm if the calculated collision time is shorter than the predetermined traffic lane change time(S4).
