PURPOSE: To provide a crystallized epoxy resin which can be easily formulated with a curing agent, etc. CONSTITUTION: There is provided a crystallized epoxy resin which is one derived from 4,4'-dihydroxy-3,3',5,5'-tetramethylbiphenyl and an epihalohydrin and in which the ratio of the quantity of heat absorbed over a temperature range of 50 to 130°C to that of heat absorbed over a temperature range of 80°C to 125°C is at least 1.03 when measured with a DSC at a rate of temperature increase of 10°C per min.
