PURPOSE:To provide the subject new protein useful as a diagnostic reagent for detecting T-cells, or an immunoregulatory agent because of its high affinity for the CD-2 antigen in T-cells, also suitable for producing itself based on genetic engineering compared to human LFA. CONSTITUTION:The objective protein, a D-2 domain-deleted type LFA-3-like protein. This protein can be obtained by the following process: a DNA coding the above protein is first prepared, and then incorporated into a vector; thence, host cells such as Escherichia coli are transformed using this vector followed by culture of the transformant cells. The above DNA can be obtained, for example, by preparing the mRNA for a human D-2 domain-deleted type LFA-3-like protein from human cells such as leukocytes manifesting the above protein using guanidine thiocyanate method followed by using this mRNA through conventional process. cRNA is amplified by PCR technique and then detected with gel electrophoresis followed by extraction. |
