PURPOSE: An LCD device and a method for driving the same are provided to reduce power consumption by using two or more data clock signals having different phases. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of source drivers(43) apply a data signal to an LCD panel(41). A plurality of gate drivers(45) apply a gate drive signal to the LCD panel(41). A timing control portion(43) receives a data clock signal(DCLK) and R,G,B digital data from a system and outputs various control signals for controlling the gate drivers(45) and the source drivers and the first and the second clock signals(CLK1,CLK2) having different phases. The timing control portion(47) and the source drivers(43) are connected the first and the second data buses(DB1,DB2). The first and the second data buses(DB1,DB2) are synchronized with the first and the second clocks(CLK1,CLK2) in order to digital data to each source driver(43).
